Step-by-Step Document Verification Process

Once you get a seat allotment in any round of JAC Delhi 2026, follow this exact sequence:

1. Pay Seat Acceptance Fee Online: Log in to the candidate portal at jacdelhi.admissions.nic.in and pay the Seat Acceptance Fee of ₹95,000 using credit card, debit card, or net banking. Keep the fee receipt printout safely. Note that Demand Drafts or Cash are not accepted.
2. Check Reporting Schedule: Refer to the official schedule to know your reporting date. Reporting dates are split by region, category, and JEE Main CRL rank. (Example: In Round 1, Delhi OBC candidates report on June 17 or 18 based on rank).
3. Visit Allotted Campus: Report physically to the allotted campus between 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM along with your original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies.
4. Verification by Admission Committee: The authorities will check your eligibility, regional class XII certificate, category reservation documents, and fee status.
5. Collect Provisional Admission Letter:Once verified, your status will update to "Admitted" in the portal. Download and print the Provisional Admission Letter. Your admission is now officially locked/secured.

What happens if my seat gets upgraded in a later round?

One of the biggest concerns for students is whether they need to report again when their seat gets upgraded. No, you do not need to report again. Once your documents are verified in any round and you receive your provisional admission letter, your admission status is active. If your seat gets upgraded (either branch-wise in the same college, or college-wise to another participating university), the upgrade is processed online. You do not need to pay the ₹95,000 fee again or visit the campus.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

• Incorrect Region Claim: Claiming Delhi Region quota when your school (Class 12) was located outside NCR/Delhi borders. Your region is determined solely by the location of your school, not your home address.
• Missing the Reporting Window: Not reporting physically on the designated date/time. Missing your slot will cause instant seat cancellation, and you will not be allowed to participate in normal counselling rounds.
• Non-Payment of Acceptance Fee: Attempting to report physically without paying the ₹95,000 online fee. Your document verification will not proceed unless the fee payment status shows successful.
• Wrong Certificate Authority: Producing category certificates signed by an unauthorized government official. Always check the acceptable authority list in Chapter 3 of the JAC Delhi brochure.
