Step 3 of Counselling

JAC Delhi Documents Verification Checklist 2026

After a seat is allotted to you in any round, you must undergo document verification to confirm your seat. Failure to present valid certificates in the specified formats will result in the immediate cancellation of your allotment. This page outlines the complete checklist of required documents and guidelines.

1. Core Verification Documents Checklist

All candidates must carry original documents along with three self-attested photocopies of each item:

  • Admission Allotment Letter: Downloaded from the JAC portal after seat allocation.
  • JAC Registration Form: The final page generated after registration, signed by your parent and yourself.
  • JEE Main Admit Card & Score Card: Printed copies of JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 Admit Card and Score Card.
  • Receipt of Seat Acceptance Fee: Proof of online payment of ₹95,000.
  • Class 10 Marksheet & Certificate: Serves as proof of date of birth.
  • Class 12 Marksheet & Certificate: Serves as proof of academic eligibility and state quota region eligibility.
  • Medical Fitness Certificate: Issued by a registered medical practitioner in the format specified in the JAC Delhi brochure.

2. Category-Specific Certificates (If Applicable)

If you claimed reservation benefits, you must present the appropriate certificate matching these criteria:

  1. OBC-NCL Candidates:
    • Must be issued by a competent authority in Delhi (for Delhi Quota).
    • Must be issued after March 31, 2026.
    • The certificate must clearly mention that the candidate belongs to the Non-Creamy Layer.
  2. SC / ST Candidates:
    • Issued by a competent authority as per Central/State government formats. No renewal date limit applies.
  3. EWS Candidates:
    • Must be issued after March 31, 2026, confirming family income status for the latest financial year.

3. Quota Region Determination Rules

Your regional reservation quota (Delhi vs Outside Delhi) is verified solely based on the school address on your Class 12 marksheet:

  • Delhi Quota (85%): If your school is physically located within the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi.
  • Outside Delhi Quota (15%): If your school is located outside the NCT boundaries of Delhi (even if you reside in NCR areas like Noida, Gurugram, or Ghaziabad).

4. Physical Reporting Guidelines

In Round 1, candidates allotted a seat must physically visit their allotted college campus (DTU, NSUT, IIITD, IGDTUW, or DSEU) for verification according to the official schedule. During subsequent rounds, reporting might be online unless you are allotted a college for the first time.
