JAC Delhi Choice Filling Generator 2026

Generate a personalized, rank-based choice filling preference list for Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi. Poor choice filling order is one of the most common reasons students with excellent ranks miss out on their dream branches. The JAC seat allotment algorithm processes choices strictly from top to bottom. Use our interactive generator below to build an optimized list customized for your branch preference, budget, career aspirations, and risk strategy. Once generated, print or save the PDF to use as a direct reference on the official JAC registration portal.

JAC Delhi Choice Filling Strategy Guide

A robust choice list is divided into three tiers:

  • Dream Choices (Ambitious): Place branches that closed slightly above your rank in previous years. These are options that you have a 5% to 35% chance of getting if cutoffs relax.
  • Target Choices (Realistic): These are options where your rank lies well within the closing rank range (35% to 85% probability). These are your most likely allotments.
  • Safety Choices (Backup): Always place 3-5 safe branches at the bottom of your list where the previous cutoffs closed much higher than your rank (85%+ probability). This prevents you from ending up without a seat at the end of the counselling rounds.

Common Pitfalls in JAC Choice Filling

  1. Not entering enough choices: Many students only enter 4-5 branches. If cutoffs drop or tighten, they might get no seat. Always enter 15+ choices.
  2. Ordering by previous year closing ranks blindly: Do not just copy last year's cutoff lists. Add your own preferences for college brands, locations, and packages.
  3. Ignoring high fees at IIIT Delhi: IIIT-Delhi fees are approximately ₹4.5 Lakhs per year, whereas DTU and NSUT are around ₹2.7 Lakhs. If budget is a constraint, prioritize DTU/NSUT or IGDTUW.
  4. Listing unwanted branches: Do not put a branch you absolutely hate (like Biotech) just to fill space, as you could get stuck in it if you freeze your seat or run out of upgrade rounds.

Frequently Asked Questions

The generator uses historical cutoff data (2020-2025) and a linear regression ML algorithm to evaluate your admission probability. It combines this with your preferences (branch interests, budget constraints, career goals, brand priority, and risk tolerance) to score and sort the choices from choice #1 to #N.

The JAC Delhi allotment system processes your choices sequentially. If choice #5 is allotted, the system will never look at choices #6, #7, etc. in subsequent rounds. You can only upgrade to choices listed higher (choices #1 to #4). If you place a lower-preference college branch above a higher-preference one, you could get locked into a choice you like less.

Yes, you must submit and lock your choice list before the first round's deadline. You can add, delete, or re-order choices before specific rounds according to the JAC Delhi official schedule, but the initial list must be locked to be eligible for seat allotment.

Yes, our generator fully supports both Delhi Quota (85% home state seats) and Outside Delhi Quota (15% seats). Since Outside Delhi cutoffs are much tougher, our database filters and predicts ranks using separate Outside Delhi cutoff matrices.
